Radiant Hands Tampa

Radiant Hands is a non-profit organization set up to empower women & families, and to assist with the integration of refugee families into the community.

Radiant Hands Tampa volunteers are asked to utilize the sign-up sheet located in the "general information" tab to indicate which items they have collected/delivered to registered refugee families in the Tampa Bay Area. Most importantly, this will serve as a tracking system for all items donated to refugee families through RH, which will help us to acquire benefits so that we can continue to do the

work that we do for families in need. Moreover, it is imperative that volunteers "sign-up" when an item has been donated so that everyone is aware that a certain need has been fulfilled. Please help us to continue our work in the most efficient way possible! Please feel free to also utilize the comments section to make a note of something when necessary.

Radiant Hands is pleased to share an important opportunity for women in our community to participate in a free and confidential trauma treatment and research study focused on emotional healing, well-being, and daily functioning.

This study will be conducted with the support of Radiant Hands and led by Vivian Abouallol, LMHC, LCPC, HHP, NPT-C, Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida and EMDR Practitioner.

We were happy to welcome our local Girl Scouts to Radiant Hands!

They toured our office, learned more about our mission and the work we do to support families in need, and generously donated school supplies to help students prepare for the upcoming school year.

Congratulations to Our Summer Food Prep & Cooking Class Graduates!

Our young chefs wrapped up an amazing summer filled with learning, creativity, and delicious memories! Throughout the program, students gained hands-on experience preparing a variety of recipes while building confidence and valuable kitchen skills.

To celebrate their hard work, we hosted a graduation party where each student received a certificate of completion and a special recipe booklet featuring the dishes they learned to make throughout the class—so they can continue cooking and sharing their new skills at home with family and friends!

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our graduates and can't wait to see what they create next. Congratulations, chefs!

Congratulations to our Summer Sewing Class Graduates!

What an incredible summer of creativity, learning, and hard work! Our talented students completed our Summer Sewing Class, where they learned valuable sewing skills and created beautiful projects, including tote bags, hair scrunchies, and pillows.

To celebrate their achievements, we gathered for a graduation party and presented each student with a certificate recognizing their dedication and accomplishments. We are so proud of how much they have learned and the confidence they've gained throughout the program.

Creativity is in full swing at our Summer Tailoring & Sewing Class!

Our talented students have been hard at work designing and sewing their very own tote bags while developing valuable sewing and tailoring skills. From learning how to operate a sewing machine to measuring, cutting, and stitching with confidence, they're gaining hands-on experience that will last a lifetime.

Another delicious day in our Summer Food Prep & Cooking Class!

Last week, our talented students prepared Kofta Kababs paired with a fresh, homemade Tahini Sauce! From seasoning and shaping the kofta to preparing the perfect sauce, they gained valuable hands-on cooking experience while building confidence and teamwork in the kitchen.

Our Summer Food Prep & Cooking Class has been full of learning, teamwork, and delicious creations!

Our students put their culinary skills to work by preparing flavorful Shish Tawook (Chicken Kabobs) served with homemade garlic sauce—and the results were incredible! From learning proper food preparation techniques to working together in the kitchen, they're building valuable skills while having fun.

At Radiant Hands, we believe that healing begins when people are given a safe space to be heard, supported, and surrounded by compassion.

We are deeply grateful to **Sr. Unaiza Malik** for leading our six-week **Grief Support Group for Women** with such wisdom, sincerity, and care. Through Islamic guidance, evidence-based education, and heartfelt conversations, participants found a space where grief could be acknowledged without judgment and healing could begin, at their own pace.

The reflections shared by the participants are a powerful reminder that while grief may never completely disappear, no one should have to carry it alone. This program created a community of understanding, where women supported one another with empathy, patience, and trust in Allah's mercy.

At Radiant Hands, we remain committed to supporting the emotional and mental well-being of our community through meaningful, faith-centered wellness initiatives. We are honored to partner with dedicated professionals like Sr. Unaiza Malik, whose compassion and expertise continue to make a lasting impact.

May Allah (SWT) reward Sr. Unaiza, bless every participant, and grant comfort, strength, and tranquility to all those experiencing loss. Ameen.
