Tangent's annual Field Day will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, 1:00-3:30. Flood the field with our Tagent colors! 💙💛 There will be games and activities set up for all students to participate.

☀️Students may bring their own sunblock to school. Please label the sunblock with your child's name. To prevent sharing with others, sunblock will be held by staff for the duration of the day. Students must be able to apply their own sunblock without assistance.

💦Field Day will include a water activity including a visit from the Tangent Fire Department. The fire crew will be spraying water in the field for the students to enjoy if they choose. If students choose to get wet, please have your child wear clothes that will dry quickly, no swimsuits. There will not be an opportunity to change clothes. Students are welcome to bring an extra pair of socks, a labeled towel and a plastic bag for the wet socks and towel. Please have your child dress appropriately for outside activities.

🥤Students are encouraged to bring a labeled water bottle to school on Field Day. There will also be two large water containers for student's to refill their bottles while outside.

Tangent Elementary School is continuing the partnership with a fundraising opportunity with BottleDrop. Two ways you can support Tangent Elementary School through BottleDrop.

1. Contact the school and request your own blue bag to fill at home. Bags can be filled with Oregon 10 cent deposit containers - plastic, aluminum and glass. Please keep under 20 lbs and no trash. Families can drop off the filled blue bag at a BottleDrop location (2141 Santiam Hwy SE, Albany) or bring the filled bag to school and staff will drop off for you.
2. Donate funds from your own BottleDrop account simply by selecting Tangent Elementary School's GIVE account.

With summertime bar-b-ques ahead, now is the perfect time to stock up on your blue BottleDrop bags. Contact the school office and we will send some home with your student. Thank you for supporting Tangent Elementary School!
