As a member of the Haines Falls Auxiliary which was one of many things Red did for the mountaintop as well as making many friends. We send our many prayers to Anna and the family for their loss but be assured his memory will continue on. Just an added note, Red also performed many meals from the Tannersville Rescue Squad Building as well as being our Santa Claus for so many years. RIP Red, we will always be in our thoughts.

Guess I want to be pro-active for the pending storm, the first good one of the season. I am urging everyone out there to adhere to the warnings, if you do not need to be on the road “don’t be”. As a Municipal Plow Operator, i asked the EVERYONE to pay attention to your local laws. DO NOT PARK ON THE STREETS DURING SNOW STORMS, DO MOT BLOW OR SHOVEL SNOW INTO THE ROADWAYS AND PAY ATTENTION TO SIGNS IN PARKING LOTS, MOVE VEHICLES TO SIDES TO ALLOW PLOWING THEN MOVE RIGHT AWAY. To all my fellow plow drivers of driveways, keep it on the property or clean up the street after. I take pride in my work and have plowed for many years which allows me to state this. Thought to have as i have 2 hats in this, we try to keep the roads clear in case you need help. This means Fire, Police, & especially EMS. If you see a neighbor parked on the street, be graceful and asked them to get it off the street. This not in my immediate are but will be everywhere this weekend. HELP US TO HELP YOU, BE SAFE AND BE GOOD! THANK YOU!!
