Office Closure Notice
Please be advised that the Commissioner’s Office and Treasurer’s Office will be closing today at 12:30 p.m. due to plumbing and septic issues.
Both offices will remain closed until 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning to allow for necessary repairs and maintenance.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to address the issue.

MARSH STREET POOL UPDATE
Update as of July 21, 2026:
Marsh Street Pool maintenance has been completed. The pool will be back on the normal operating schedule weather depending.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while the pool maintenance was performed. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to welcoming everyone back to the pool.

MARSH STREET POOL UPDATE
An update regarding the temporary closure of the Marsh Street Pool

Update as of July 20, 2026:
The new pool pump has been received and successfully installed. Our Facilities and Parks & Recreation teams are now working to restore the pool’s water clarity and ensure the water meets all health and safety standards before reopening.
We are hopeful conditions will improve over the coming days and that the pool will be able to reopen soon. We will provide another update as soon as the reopening date has been confirmed.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete this final step. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to welcoming everyone back to the pool as soon as it is safe to do so.

Essex County Administration will be closed on Friday, July 17th due to parking lot restoration (Sealing and Striping).
The offices will reopen with Normal Operating Hours on Monday, July 20th.

Essex County Fiscal Year-End Closure Schedule
To complete fiscal year-end financial processing, Essex County Administration will operate on a modified schedule:

Tuesday, June 30, 2026
County offices will close at 12:00 PM (Noon).
The last transaction will be accepted at 11:30 AM.

Wednesday, July 1, 2026
County offices will reopen at 12:00 PM (Noon).
Regular business operations will resume at that time.

Residents planning to conduct County business are encouraged to schedule their visits accordingly.

The Marsh Street Pool Will be Closed Until Further Notice

The Marsh Street Pool will be closed to the public until further notice due to a mechanical issue. Our staff and service contractors are working to repair the issue and restore operations as quickly and safely as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the community’s patience while repairs are underway. Updates will be posted on the County website and official social media channels as more information becomes available.
