Two scrapbooks and a notebook from Edgecombe County Memorial Library are now on DigitalNC, one scrapbook detailing two historic landmarks in Tarboro, the town hall and the county courthouse; the other filled with a local's experience during World War I, and a genealogy notebook tracking the Castex, Clements, Jenkins, Gainer, Hopkins, Perry, and Staton families. The Town of Pinetops’ Back to School Rally this evening was a hit! We were blessed with an inspirational speech from SWE’s c/o 2026 valedictorian, Lamont Vines Jr., and great fun, food, and fellowship was had by all! We would like to thank Ms. Stacey for the invitation to attend and serve our community.

We wish everyone a wonderful upcoming school year and would like to remind you that our Pinetops Library is located in the lot with Piggly Wiggly. Our library houses free study spaces, computers, Wi-Fi, a complete collection of this year’s high, middle, and elementary school Battle of the Books lists, research databases, and physical or digital books to support students returning to school. Come see us!!! ✏️📚🚌

These playgroups provide parents with valuable information, resources, support, and connections that promote positive and age-appropriate development for their children. We have three locations: DEPC, the Spaulding Family Resource Center, and the Edgecombe County Memorial Library. For more information, please refer to the flyer.

Make one more splash before summer comes to an end! ☀️💦 Today, Saturday, August 15, is the final day the Tarboro Community Pool will be open for the summer.

Bring the family, soak up the sun, and enjoy one last swim! 💚
