Edgecombe County Public Schools will be closed for students on Friday, May 1 due to the significant number of staff members who have requested leave to attend a public education rally in Raleigh. Because of the high number of staff absences, many of our schools would not be able to provide the necessary student supervision and support on that day. Friday, May 1 will be an optional work day for staff.
