30 days of winning this September, we have teamed up with Eureka Fire-Rescue to bring you the “Sportsmen’s Dream” raffle. Each day you have a chance to win fishing packages, meats, cold hard cash, and some things that make lead fly really really fast (I think you know what that is, but we don’t need the FB police coming after us)

Tickets will be going out to members soon, as always you can contact us or Eureka here on Facebook, and we’ll be happy to assist.

‘Twas the day before cookout, and here at the hall,
Preparations were underway once more for you all.

The tables were lined up, supplies stacked with care,
Ready for hungry supporters soon to be there.

The grill’s standing by for the burgers and dogs,
The fry cutters waiting beside bags of spuds.

The wings are all ready, the beans set aside,
Just waiting for tomorrow when the crowd will arrive.

So if you are hungry and wondering what to do,
Stop out and support…your local firefighters too.

We’ll have cheeseburgers sizzling, and hot dogs on buns,
Fresh-cut fries, chicken wings, and food for everyone.

Bring family and friends and stop by for a plate,
We’re looking forward to seeing you - and we can’t wait! 🚒🔥🍔🌭🍟

We’re in our Dräger era now…😎

Last evening we took delivery of our brand new Dräger SCBA’s. After an introductory training by our wonderful sales reps at Howell Rescue Systems, our members were made familiar with the ins and outs of these new packs, and after everyone was confident, these were placed into service, and will provide our members with safe and reliable breathing air for at least the next 15 years.

This was a major investment in our department and its members, and a big change too. We did our due diligence, shopping around, and demoed several brands and models, just like if you were buying a car. This is something that will be with us for many years to come, and we all wanted to make sure we’re all in agreement.

This purchase also wouldn’t have been possible without the grant money we received with the help of our State Representative Mandy Steele. She is a champion for all first responders, and we are glad to have her in our corner, fighting for us all in Harrisburg. This picture is quite literally your tax dollars at work.

Thank you to her, thank you to Howell, and thanks to all of our followers for your continued support of your local West Tarentum firefighters.

The Boroughs of Tarentum and Brackenridge are coming together to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States with a special community parade honoring America’s history and the spirit of our region.

As our nation prepares to mark 250 years of independence in 2026, our communities are proud to take part in this historic milestone with a celebration that brings residents, families, organizations, first responders, and local businesses together.

We look forward to celebrating America 250 with the community!

Special thanks to the Tarentum Recreation Board for putting the event together for this historic moment.
