A frontal system will bring widespread rain to the region starting Tuesday afternoon through midweek. Totals above 1.50" are possible in the Great Lakes region of NY and the mountains of VT/NH/ME. Exact placement of these totals is dependent on where convective bands set up. The rain will help bring our 30-day precipitation totals closer to normal. No river flooding is forecast at this time.

Widespread rain showers are expected over the weekend with the highest totals across eastern ME up to 0.5”. Elsewhere, precipitation totals of a few hundredths to 0.25”. Across New England, the latest US Drought Monitor shows widespread abnormally dry to severe drought. The worst conditions are found across NH and southern ME.
