A Heat Advisory has been issued for Lake County today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

According to the U.S. National Weather Service, the "heat will back off a little this weekend as we shave a degree or two from highs each day, but widespread Moderate and pockets of Major HeatRisk impacts will continue."

Residents and visitors are encouraged to practice heat safety today and throughout the weekend. Please stay hydrated, limit your outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and check on vulnerable family members, neighbors, and pets.
