They grow up so fast!

It’s been one year since K9 Skeeter joined the LCSO family, and he’s come a long way from the little Bloodhound pup we first introduced!

Skeeter and his handler, M/D McGregor, have been hard at work over the past year, and he’s doing great with his tracking. According to his handler, Skeeter especially loves tracking people down for the cookies and the excitement of the find. We can’t blame him!

Next up, Skeeter will head to Tallahassee in September for a week-long mantrailing training that will continue building his skills and bring him one step closer to graduating as a full-time K9 with the LCSO Bloodhound Unit.

Keep up the good work, ! 🐾

⚠️SCAM ALERT

Your caller ID says it’s your bank. They know where you bank. They may even know some of your account information. Unfortunately, that still doesn’t mean the person on the other end is legitimate.

Our detectives are seeing an increase in scammers posing as banks and credit card companies, using convincing stories to get victims to move or hand over their money.

When in doubt, hang up. Then contact your bank yourself using the number on the back of your card or through its official website or app.

Take a look at this graphic for some of the red flags to watch for, and share it with your friends and family. A quick heads-up could keep someone from becoming the next victim.
