UPDATE: this outage happened on 7/22/26 from approximately 7:46PM-8:23PM. Cause: car vs pole.

FKEC is aware of a power outage impacting the Marathon area and we are working to restore.

An accident broke an FKEC primary distribution pole at about mm 51.5. Crews have been dispatched to make repairs.

REMINDER: If you live or work near underground electrical equipment in the Upper and Middle Keys, you may see FKEC contractor OSMOSE inspecting underground electrical equipment over the coming weeks. This proactive maintenance helps support the reliable electric service FKEC members depend on every day. ⚡
All OSMOSE and FKEC personnel conducting inspections will be in clearly marked vehicles and carry valid FKEC identification.
