On May 18, FKEC is starting inspections of underground electric equipment throughout our service area as part of our ongoing commitment to safety and reliability. ⚡

Trusted contractor OSMOSE will perform PSC-required inspections on FKEC’s behalf over the next 8–12 weeks. Crews will conduct visual, photographic, and thermal assessments of underground distribution equipment, including pad-mounted transformers, switchgear, and underground connection points.

All OSMOSE and FKEC personnel will be in clearly marked vehicles and carry valid FKEC identification.

Keeping the lights on safely takes year-round training, preparation, teamwork, and a strong commitment to looking out for one another. From hands-on safety drills and rescue exercises to coordination with local first responders, our crews train for critical moments before they happen.
