Every great story eventually reaches its final chapter, but the impact of that story lives on long after the last page is turned.

We want to take a moment to congratulate an incredible educator and an even more incredible person.

After years of helping students write their own stories, discover new chapters, and turn challenges into opportunities, Donna Klinger has officially reached the final chapter of an outstanding teaching career as she retires from Tawas Area Schools.

Her legacy won’t be found on a bookshelf, but in the countless students whose lives she helped shape through her patience, kindness, and dedication.

Thank you, Donna, for all you’ve given to our students, our school, and the Tawas Braves family. We wish you a retirement filled with new adventures, cherished memories, and plenty of time to enjoy the next chapter.

Also, if your student still has their Chromebook charger, please return it to either school office. Any chargers that are not returned will be billed accordingly.

We made it—summer break is finally here! What a year it has been. We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful summer filled with sunshine, fun, and great memories.

This morning, our middle school gave Soleil Guillotel a sendoff as she headed to Shepherd to compete in the Megastar Track Meet. 💪🏃‍♀️

By the end of the day, all that hard work paid off! Soleil earned a 6th-place medal in the Small School 200-meter hurdles with a time of 31.9 seconds and finished 18th overall.

From the clap out to the finish line, what a day! Congratulations, Soleil. We’re proud of you!

A heartfelt thank you to Jay Samuels Photography for once again capturing the memories of graduation day for our students and families.

For years, Jay has generously shared his time and talent to document some of our students' most important milestones. The countless hours spent taking, editing, and organizing photos are a tremendous gift to our graduates, their families, and our entire school community. We are incredibly grateful for his continued support of Tawas students and his commitment to preserving these special moments.

Thank you, Jay, for helping our graduates remember this day for years to come!

The postseason isn’t the only thing these boys are winning! Congratulations to these Varsity Baseball players for being recognized for their outstanding conference and district achievements.

Now let’s give them the crowd they deserve! Pack the Coop at Bolen Park today at 4:00 PM as the Braves battle Sanford Meridian in the Regional Semifinal. Bring the energy, bring the noise, and let’s cheer these boys on to the next round!

🎉 Middle School Carnival Day Fun! 🎉

Yesterday we celebrated our amazing students who met and exceeded their NWEA goals—and what a celebration it was! From games and laughter to unforgettable moments with friends, our students truly earned every bit of today’s fun.

So proud of their hard work, growth, and determination. Keep shining—you deserve it! 🌟🎈
