The 23rd District Court hosted its 5th annual Law Day! This years topic was “The Rule of Law and the American Dream.” It was a pleasure to have the 3rd grade students from Taylor School District, Taylor Police and Fire, Detroit Mounted Police, DEA, Detroit-Metro Swat Airport Police Department, Michigan State Police Southpost, MSP MNET, Michigan State Police Cyber Section Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, Corewell Health, and the Taylor Federation of Teachers all join us for this event. Thank you to the Taylor School District, the teachers, all of the agencies and our amazing court staff for another successful Law Day!

Governor Gretchen Whitmer Appoints Brittany Johnson to the Bench at 23rd District Court, Taylor - Johnson currently serves as an assistant prosecuting attorney at the Wayne County, Michigan Prosecutor’s Office. She earned her JD from MSU College of Law. This appointment will be made to fill a partial term (expiring Jan. 1, 2027) following the resignation of Judge Joseph Slaven.
