On Thursday, April 9th, City Council presented a proclamation for National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week which runs from April 12 to 18, 2026. Taylor Police Departmentโ€™s Communications Officers were present to receive the proclamation.

Just like officers, fire fighters and emergency medical services, Public Safety Communications Officers miss holidays, school functions, and time with their families to make sure someone is there 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to answer your call on what may be the worst day of your life or when you just donโ€™t know who to call.

Join us in recognizing our Communications Officers for the work they do for the department, our citizens, and the many visitors through our city daily. We thank you for your service and appreciate everything you do to keep everyone safe.
