Putting the “Y” in Taylor! What’s our why? Our downtown businesses.

Businesses like Taylor Bike Company are a big part of what makes Taylor special—and why we continue to invest in a thriving, resilient downtown. Taylor Bike Company was one of eight downtown businesses to receive a Flood Relief Grant from the City of Taylor following this year’s flooding.

Supporting our businesses means supporting the people, stories, and community that make Taylor home. That’s why we’re putting the “Y” in Taylor.

🚜 STOCK THE TRAILER
Haulin’ Hope for Ross Fire Relief 🌾
As many of you know, the massive Ross wildfire has exploded to over 83,000 acres across Palo Pinto and Jack County, forcing evacuations amid extreme heat and wind.

This massive fire is only about 12% contained, leaving countless farmers and ranchers without the feed and supplies they depend on.

Jack County is where I grew up and where my family and friends still call home.

In the words of my Momma “ if you have the means or ability to help someone, you do it simply because it’s the right thing to do. “

So here at Taylor Feed and Supply, we’re launching a Feed Drive to collect feed and other essential supplies for those impacted.

💪 Now through - Wednesday September 3rd, we’re asking our amazing community to come together and help us Stock the Trailers.

📍 Drop off or make donations at:
Taylor Feed & Supply
102 Talbot St.
Taylor, Texas
🕒 Tue–Fri 8am–6pm • Saturday 8–2pm
📞 512-365-9436

👉 Can’t donate supplies? Monetary donations are also welcome and will go directly to purchasing what’s most needed.
Feed and supplies will be taken by our convoy team.

Let’s haul hope—one bale, one bag, one blessing at a time. 💜
Because when Texas hurts, Texans help.

"Y" do we love it in Downtown? Because of our fabulous businesses! Thank you Taylor Bike Company!

A little country-road ride, a giant TAYLOR sign, and two very cool bikes. 🚲

We stopped at Spark! Places of Innovation, the Smithsonian exhibit at the historic Heidenheimer Building, which tells stories about small towns accomplishing pretty remarkable things when people work toward a common goal — along with some Taylor history and seriously beautiful historic cars.

It felt especially fitting to roll up there by bike.

We spend so much time thinking about what Taylor has been, what it is now, and what it could become. Sometimes it’s nice to just ride through it, stop somewhere interesting, and remember how much history and possibility can exist in one little town.

Also: our bikes looked really good there. 😂

Something exciting is coming to Taylor this Saturday.

Spark! Places of Innovation, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street program, opens August 15 at the Heidenheimer Building as part of Taylor’s Sesquicentennial celebration.

Through stories from more than 30 rural communities across the country, Spark! explores how people turn creativity, ingenuity, and community challenges into ideas that can change the places they call home.
