The Taylor Public Library's "Taylor Talks" series celebrates the Sesquicentennial with stories of our community. The series continued in May with a panel of local authors, including Joe Burgess, Krystal Alanis Young, and Thomas Edwards discussing their books.

As part of the process to replace the office building at the City of Taylor Cemetery, the Antiquities Code of Texas requires an archaeological permit through the Texas Historical Commission to ensure there are no unknown burials within or near the historic cemetery, specifically underneath where the former office building stood.

The process, known as scraping, includes records research and mechanical testing, as shown in the photos.
