In July 2026, the Taylor Fire Department responded to 1,033 emergency calls—an average of 33 calls every day, with our busiest day reaching 65 calls.

Every day, 12 firefighter/paramedics, 1 Shift Commander, and 1 dispatcher staff 3 fire stations, operating 3 fire engines and 3 transporting ambulances to serve our community 24/7.

FIREFIGHTERS SWORN IN: David Zubor and Ryan Evina were sworn in as Taylor Firefighters EMTs during the City Council meeting of July 7 at the William Ford Senior Activities Center. Clerk Cindy Bower did the honors and Fire Chief Stephen Portis, Mayor Tim Woolley and members of the City Council took the time to welcome the pair to the department.

In June 2026, the Taylor Fire Department responded to 900 emergency calls—an average of 29 runs every day.

Every day, our community is served by 13 firefighter/paramedics staffing three fire stations and with only three transporting ambulances. our members continue to answer every call with professionalism, compassion, and dedication.

Thank you to all of our daily crews and staff for your hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the citizens of Taylor.
