๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿฆ† The Taylor Middle School Beginner Band closed out the school year with a phenomenal performance!

Their end-of-year concert was a wonderful showcase of the hard work, dedication, and countless hours of practice these students have put in throughout their very first year of band. From their first notes to this impressive performance, they have grown tremendously as musicians and performers.

We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can't wait to see what the future holds as they continue their band journey. Great job, Ducks! ๐ŸŽบ๐Ÿฅ๐ŸŽต

๐Ÿ’ผ๐Ÿฆ† While Taylor High School students were exploring future careers, some of our youngest ducks were doing the same!

Main Street Elmentary recently hosted Career Day, giving students the opportunity to learn from an incredible group of presenters, including Taylor firefighters and police officers, Atmos Energy, Taylor Sporting Goods, community leaders, and parent volunteers, who shared their experiences, talents, and career journeys.

Throughout the day, students connected classroom learning to future career opportunities while discovering the importance of skills like teamwork, communication, responsibility, perseverance, and kindness.

A big thank you to all of the presenters and volunteers who invested their time to inspire our young learners and help make Career Day a meaningful and memorable experience!

๐Ÿ’ผ๐ŸŽ“ Preparing Students for Their Future! ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ’ผ

In May, Taylor High School hosted its annual Career Fair, giving students the opportunity to explore career pathways, connect with industry professionals, and gain valuable real-world experience as they prepare for life after graduation.

Students arrived with resumes in hand, ready to connect with representatives from local businesses, colleges, trade programs, service organizations, and a variety of industries. The event gave students the opportunity to explore career pathways, education options, and workforce opportunities available after high school.

A highlight of the event was the mock interview experience provided by our partners at Communities In Schools, where students practiced their interview skills, built confidence, and received valuable feedback to help prepare them for future job opportunities. Students also participated in the Texas Reality Check activity, which helped them connect career choices with real-world budgeting and lifestyle decisions.

The overall goal of the Career Fair is simple: to help students discover interests, explore career possibilities, build confidence, and gain experiences that will support their future success in the workforce.

A huge THANK YOU to all of the local businesses, organizations, colleges, and community partners who took time to invest in our students and make this event possible. Your support helps open doors, spark inspiration, and prepare the next generation for success.

๐Ÿฆ†๐Ÿ“š SUPER READERS, ASSEMBLE! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿฆ†

We're excited to recognize our THJ Super Readers from the final 9 weeks of the school year! These amazing little ducks worked hard to meet their reading goals and earned their Super Reader capes & masks. Many even added special patches to their capes throughout the year by reaching new reading milestones and achieving even more goals along the way!

We are so proud of their dedication, growth, and love of reading. Watching these students build confidence and strengthen their reading skills has been incredible!

This was the first year of our Super Reader program, and what an incredible year it has been! The excitement surrounding reading, the goals achieved, and the growth we've seen in our students have made this program a huge success. None of it would have been possible without the support and hard work of our students, parents, and teachers who embraced the challenge and made reading a priority.

A special thank you goes to Ms. Cindy Terrazas and Ms. Abby Turner for their dedication, creativity, and passion for helping this program grow. Their efforts have inspired a love of reading in our students and helped make the Super Reader program such a meaningful experience for so many little ducks.

THJ Parents & Students โ€” The Super Reader fun doesn't stop here! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ“– This summer, our incoming Kindergarten students can join the reading adventure with their new Quack Packs. Don't forget to read, log your books, and complete your summer reading activities for a chance to earn your Super Reader status when the new school year begins in August!

Keep reading, little ducksโ€”we can't wait to see all the reading goals you accomplish this summer! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฆ†โœจ

โœจ Let's Glow! โœจ

With the lights out on another amazing school year, we came together to celebrate the incredible people who make Taylor ISD shine! ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿฆ†

We honored employees celebrating 5โ€“30 years of service and recognized our retirees for their lasting impact on Taylor ISD.

We also celebrated our Rising Stars, Teachers of the Year, Helping Heroes, Support Staff of the Year, Mentor of the Year, Substitute of the Year, and Community Partners of the Yearโ€”individuals who go above and beyond every day to support our students and schools.

Filled with breakfast, laughter, recognition, and glowing fun, it was a wonderful way to close out an incredible year.
