The Spec Building is looking great! These were taken on August 28th, 2015. Almost completely enclosed! It is this type of industrial/manufacturing space that Taylor needs in order to broaden its tax base and bring more revenue into the City coffers! Once it is filled with manufacturing equipment it will be an even greater source of tax revenue and jobs for the Taylor!

Construction continues to move ahead on the community's newest building in the Mustang Creek Industrial Park! If you have not seen it in person, it is worth a drive out to the site. Taylor should be proud of all the exciting activity taking place in the community!

Lots of movement going on this morning at the Mustang Creek Industrial Park where the 50,000 SF Spec building is being built. With no big industrial space to entice businesses to come to Taylor, this is a great opportunity to land a business, which equals more jobs, more ad valorem taxes, and bring more people to spend money in Taylor!

We welcome a new company to Taylor, Texas! Summit Cabinets will make Mustang Creek Industrial Park in Taylor its new home and will bring 22 new jobs to town and create an additional 50. It has been a pleasure working with this company and look forward to the continued relationship with them!

The Taylor Economic Development Corporation has offered a range of incentives to bring a cabinet maker to the city.

Saw this today and wanted to share:

Top 10 mistakes people make with their social media:

10) Not following your competitors or industry leaders

9) YELL! YELL! YELL! - Please don't yell. When all CAPS are seen, it is assumed that you are yelling.

8) Making it an afterthought - don't let your marketing fall behind; work to create a buzz about your business

7) Ignoring your customers - if you are doing it right, your customers are reviewing, rating, commenting, liking, sharing, etc. On the flip side, if its not a very flattering comment or they had a bad experience don't give them a canned response. Thank them and change their minds.

6) Posting stuff just to post stuff - don't post things that aren't relevant

5) Not engaging your customers - social media is about fun communication that gets your brand noticed. Get creative to get people engaged, thus spreading the word.

4) No pictures? - definite problem. People like pictures. they add to the human side of your business and you become real.

3) "Oops, I forgot" - if you aren't posting regularly, you aren't thinking about your business regularly.

2) Knowing its important, but not knowing why - you have to have a strategy. sit down, think about it, find someone that specializes in it to help you sort it out.

1) Having no social media at all - social media, when done right, is one of the least expensive and most powerful marketing tools you have at your disposal!
