As we celebrate this life well-lived, we at the Winding Rivers Library System cannot thank Dolly enough for all she's done to put books into the hands of young children.
We are thrilled to announce that beginning on January 4, 2027, every child ages 0-5 who lives in the seven counties of the Winding Rivers Library System will be eligible to get one age-appropriate book mailed to their home each month.
Help us sustain this program for years to come. Any donation helps us honor Dolly’s legacy while giving children in our community the gift of reading.

We will continue to have Storytime at the library at 1:30pm on Tuesdays. There are so many stories to read and so much fun to have.

On behalf of the Taylor Memorial Library Board and Staff, thank you to everyone who made Story Time special this summer. Thank you to Randy Joten and Gary Boe for hosting our field trip to the Fire Hall. Thank you to our guests Morgan Berg, Greta Monson, Karla Hulne, Jenna Staff, Maybelle, and Rex. And thank you to all the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and kids for coming to Story Time. I hope you had as much fun as I did.

For Story Time on Tuesday our theme was Fruits & Vegetables. We read some stories, Morgan helped us build a healthy snack, and we had fun with activities like puzzles and Legos.

📚 Lots of Exciting Things Happening in Our Library! 📚

We’re excited to welcome students and families to orientation! During orientation, Mrs. McNamer will be sharing some of the great things happening in our school library for students of all ages, including our middle and high school students.

She’ll be sharing information about our library resources, our bikes, and all of our new books! 📖🚲

And, of course, there will be some fun along the way! Mrs. McNamer will be doing drawings for books and door prizes during orientation. 🎉

The theme for the 18th will be Fruits and Vegetables. Morgan from the UW-Extension will be here to teach us how to build a healthy snack, and we will do a fun planting activity.

On Tuesday our story time theme was Pets. We read stories about different kinds of pets, and then we shared pictures and stories of our pets. We welcomed new friends, and welcomed back friends we had not seen for a while. We had snacks, colored, read independently, did puzzles, played, and had a great time.
