Eric Shi was selected as one of 627 semifinalists to advance to the final round of the 2026 Presidential Scholars Program. In the coming months, final selections will be completed and the names of those students will be announced by the U.S. Secretary of Education. The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by Executive Order of the President to recognize and honor some of the nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors. Congratulations, Eric!

Congratulations to the 2025-2026 choir students for earning the SCMEA Outstanding Performance Award! This is the highest honor that a choral program in SC can earn. It demonstrates commitment to and achievement of excellence across the board of all of the events that SCMEA Choral Division offers.

Student medications and supplies must be picked up by an adult (18 and over) from the Health Room by May 22nd at 12:00pm. Medications left in the health room after May 22nd at 12:00pm will be disposed of per GCSD policy. If you have any questions please contact the school nurse, Sherre Forrester, at 864-355-2807.
