Northwood Middle School

Northwood Middle School Welcome to the official GCSD page! Northwood Middle has a long-standing commitment to excellence. Every classroom is equipped with a Promethean Board.

Northwood Middle School was opened in 1965 as a combination elementary and middle school. In 2008 NMS moved into a new building, which came equipped with state-of-the-art technology. There are three computer labs, as well as three portable computer labs. We presently have approximately 835 students with 55 teachers. The purpose of Northwood Middle School is to assist all students in attaining thei

r fullest potential as a contributing member of society. We believe that each student has unique abilities and the potential for learning. The home, community, student, and school share responsibility in the learning process. The home, community, student, and school will work as a team. Learning is a continuous and life-long process. The school will promote respect, responsibility, and integrity. The inclusion of cultural diversity enriches the learning environment. Content Disclaimer:

πŸŽ‰NEW EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT! πŸŽ‰
Please join us in giving a warm Northwood welcome to Patrick Geraghty, our new ISS Coordinator! We’re so excited to have Mr. Geraghty join the Northwood family. Be sure to leave a comment to help us welcome him to Northwood! We’re glad to have you with us, Mr. Geraghty!

I was born in Dublin, Ireland and attended St. Mary's primary school and St. Tiernan's secondary school. I attended Hofstra University in New York on a soccer scholarship where I received my degree in Exercise Science. I worked as a Fitness manager and Personal Training manager for Equinox before opening my own corporate wellness business. I moved to Greenville in 2021 with my wife Tricia, daughter Jane, and son Tommy. I coach at CESA where both my kids play in the academy. My fun facts are: I played Table-Tennis for Ireland, I released an album on iTunes, I've published two children's books, and I wrote and produced a pilot for a TV show.

Mark your calendars for Quarter 1 benchmark testing.
