Hello Blazer Family!
Tomorrow is an A Friday and all students should be in dress code.
This was our first week assigning detentions for dress code and it seemed to be better, overall. Just a reminder that any student violating the dress code will receive a detention.
Tardies to school will begin to accumulate. Especially now that we are a week beyond the 2 week buffer period.
If you have questions about how the tardies to school work, please refer to p. 7 of the student handbook.
Office hours and Smart Center began this week. Hopefully your student took advantage of that. If your student has questions about office hours, they should ask any of their teachers.
Smart Center is held every Monday through Thursday from 3 to 4 pm in the learning commons.
Very Important: If your student is attending office hours or smart center, PLEASE make sure they are letting you know so you can pick them up later and not have to sit through the car line.
Speaking of the car line, you all did a great job without the larger loop! But now that is behind us.
The concern this week appeared to be people clogging up the exit process after school. This is usually due to people attempting to turn left off of campus. So please make sure you’re turning right to leave campus.

Join us for the GMC PIP Silent Auction Committee Volunteer Interest Meeting on Wednesday, September 2, in the GMC Café. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents, get plugged in, and use your talents to help make this year’s silent auction a success! Coffee and donuts will be provided!

We need volunteers to assist with the auction site, graphic design, photography, requesting donated items, packaging items, and preparing items for photos.

A virtual option will be available for parents who are unable to attend in person. Parents may also earn service hours for time spent volunteering on the committee. We hope you’ll join us!

Hello Blazer Family!
Tomorrow is a B Friday and all students should be in dress code.
As of this Monday, the two week buffer is over. Any student violating the dress code will receive a detention and tardies to school will begin to accumulate.
The dress code is somewhat concerning because we didn’t notice much improvement during the buffer/warning period. Please make sure your student is following the dress code. They will receive a detention if they are not. If you have questions, please refer to the student handbook and/or reach out to your student’s grade-level administrator
Office hours and Smart Center also begin this Monday. The office hours schedule is in the student handbook, on our website and social media. If your student has questions about office hours, they should ask any of their teachers. Smart Center is held every day from 3 to 4 pm in the learning commons.

Speaking of the car line, also beginning this Monday, we will no longer make the extra loop through the student parking lot.
So please make sure you’re entering from the W. McElhaney entrance and also waiting until office hours are over if your student is staying to get help from a teacher.
One rule that’s for every day of the school year is that parents should not drive into the student parking lot to pick up their student. This is a safety issue.
