📌 Know Your Zone - Do you live along the NC coast? Is it hurricane season and you are headed to a vacation at North Carolina's beautiful beaches? You should Know Your Zone! This is the system that local emergency managers use to order evacuations along our coastline, specifically for storm surge situations. Mosey on over to KnowYourZone.NC.Gov to search by address (it's also linked from that really useful ReadyNC.Gov)

📌 NC FIMAN - What in the world is a FIMAN you may ask! The NC Flood Innundation Mapping and Alert Network (or FIMAN for short) is a network of over 770 flood gauges statewide. You can see the gauges across the state, see their trends and run scenarios, see what buildings may be at risk, and even sign up for alerts for the gauges closest to your home! Visit FIMAN.nc.gov to check it out!

📌 NC FRIS - Again with the acronyms huh... This is the NC Flood Risk Information System (or FRIS for short). This handy tool allows you to search any location in the state and to see your flood risk and to obtain information on how to mitigate that risk. Check out FRIS.nc.gov
