Continued Event - Flood Watch. Flash flooding from excessive rainfall remains possible across portions of Piedmont and western North Carolina, including Alexander, Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Davie, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, and areas in the mountains. Heavy rain through Thursday evening may bring 1-2 inches, with isolated 5-inch totals. Watch for flooding in low spots and along I-77 and I-40. Avoid flooded roads.
