The Kentucky Talking Book Library (KTBL) provides free library service to people who cannot read traditional print because they have a visual, physical, or reading disability. Audio and Braille materials are sent to and from users by postage-free mail, or can be downloaded from the internet. A special Talking Book player or braille eReader are provided on loan. KTBL has been in operation since 1969 and is part of a national network of libraries administered by the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, a branch of the Library of Congress.

Thank you to everyone who has already donated to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in Spencer County in honor of Dolly's legacy! ❤️📚

The Spencer County affiliate has been fortunate enough to provide the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program since 2022. Since then, this wonderful program has put books into the hands of more than 1,200 Spencer County children! 📖✨

Even more exciting, children who participate in the program have consistently scored higher than average on kindergarten readiness assessments. What an incredible impact a book can make!

Best of all, this program is provided at no cost to participating families. Funding is provided through the Dollywood Foundation, state matching funds, and support from the local affiliate, which contributes approximately $1.20 per book each month made possible through donations and other funding. ❤️

Thank you for helping us put books—and opportunities—into the hands of our youngest learners. Your generosity is making a difference in the lives of Spencer County children! 💕📚
