📖Come One...Come All... You are invited to a BOOkish Ball!📖

10/22/2026

This time of year there are Halloween decorations, spooky costumes, and more advertisements for horror movies. These things can sometimes be overwhelming to young children who cannot yet separate what is real and pretend.

Books are a great teaching tool for children to gently learn what to predict, process emotions such as being scared, and to help learn what is make-believe.

Today during preschool story time, we will be using the book "Go Away, Big Green Monster!" by Ed Emberley to help conquer any fears and the agency to say "You don't scare me!"

We had a lot of fun at our first kids Lego club last weekend! We did challenges where we had to describe the image for our partner to build, we saw who could build the tallest tower before the timer went off, and created a creature using only the 20 Legos in our mystery bag.

Join us next weekend Oct. 24th at 1pm for even more Lego fun!
