Rotary Club of Tazewell

Rotary Club of Tazewell *Service Above Self* is our motto. The Object of Rotary is to encourage & foster the ideal of service.

We meet every Friday at 12:15 PM at the American Legion Building at 222 Central Avenue, Tazewell, VA. We meet Fridays at noon in the American Legion Hall on the corner of Pine and Central. Join us for lunch and a great program as we try to better our town and our world, one project at a time.

Rotary Club of Tazewell – 5th Friday Social

The Rotary Club of Tazewell enjoyed a wonderful evening at Cuz’s Restaurant for our 5th Friday Social Meeting. These special gatherings give our members an opportunity to enjoy fellowship, strengthen friendships, and celebrate the people who make our community such a great place to live and work.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of a Paul Harris Fellow Award to Yvonne Thompson. The Paul Harris Fellow recognition is one of Rotary International’s highest honors, awarded to individuals who exemplify the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self.”

Yvonne has made a lasting impact on Tazewell County through her dedication, perseverance, and commitment to serving others. Through her business, Cuz’s Restaurant, she has created a welcoming destination for residents and visitors alike while providing employment opportunities and contributing to the growth of our community.

Congratulations, Yvonne, on this well-deserved recognition! Thank you for all you do for Tazewell County and for helping make our community stronger.

This project warmed my heart from start to finish. A true community collaboration from funding to concrete, planting arborvitae to raising flags. The Rotary Club of Tazewell and the Board of Supervisors are proud to give this to all those veterans that did not return and those families that can come and reflect at this updated memorial. #
