Don't miss New York Times bestselling author Emilee Hackney as she gives a book reading and signing at the Tazewell Library this Saturday, August 29th from 2pm - 3pm. "All that's Unseen" can be purchased on site the day of the event, but we will have limited copies. Refreshments are provided by the Friends of Tazewell County Public Library.

In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county to inspire children to love reading in honor of her dad, who couldn’t read or write.

That idea lives here too. Every month, 650 children in Tazewell County find a book in the mailbox — because of neighbors who fund it, volunteers who run it, and a woman from Sevier County, TN who started it all.
