Town of Tazewell Welcome to the Town of Tazewell, Virginia The Town Of Tazewell was first settled in 1799, and was incorporated in 1870.

It was first called Jeffersonville Township, the Tazewell Courthouse and finally, Tazewell. The Town serves as the County seat of Tazewell County and is one of the most historic areas in the County. The original character of the community has been preserved with its tree-lined streets and well-groomed Victorian houses.

🛑 Main Street will be closed to traffic on Saturday, October 3rd from noon through 11:30 p.m. for the annual Oktobrewfest festivities.

🍁 🍻 Oktobrewfest officially kicks off at 5:00 p.m., with shuttle service available beginning at 4:30 p.m. from M&E Antiques parking lot (formerly Magic Mart). Along with breweries, wineries, & dining options, the festival's musical line-up will include Steele Cookin' and Shot thru the Heart, a Bon Jovi tribute band.
