Thank you for your service Lenny Hennig & Congratulations

Our final honoree this month is Mr. Lenny Hennig, who was drafted into the United States Army on January 11, 1968.

After completing Basic Training at Fort Dix, he continued to Advanced Infantry Training with the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, followed by specialized communications training at Fort Lewis, Washington.

Mr. Hennig served in Vietnam with the 278th Signal Unit, 4th Infantry Division, at Camp Enari in Pleiku, beside Dragon Mountain. His unit provided vital communications support for the entire base, as well as beyond the perimeter to assist operations in both the jungle and the air.

After completing his year of service overseas, he returned home to the United States.
For the past 20 years, Mr. Hennig has served as Commander of Teaneck VFW Post 1429, where he continues his dedication to supporting veterans.

We thank Mr. Hennig for his service to our nation and his ongoing commitment to our veteran community.
