Today we did a club showcase to introduce freshmen and new students to options for getting involved. THS offers so many ways to find your people! 🖤💛

Mrs. Sparks and Ms. Belshe’s classes tested to see if soap or hand sanitizer did the job it claims in advertising, killing 99.9% bacteria. Safeguard antibacterial soap was best at killing bacteria, although not 99.9% as it claims. The school soap was mediocre at best 😬 and hand sanitizer also didn’t do super well at killing 99.9% of bacteria. Bath and Body Works did next to nothing. We used the scientific method of experimentation, identified IV, DV, control (water alone) and constants (One of which meant 30 second wash with warm water). Students wrote a hypothesis and then analyzed the data and drew conclusions. They did the entire lab report, writing procedure and all. Flu season is almost upon us so thank you for the information kids!

Today was culture/career day of FCCLA Spark week. Tomorrow, show out for our community with black and gold THS gear!!!

Dressed up as family members for FCCLA Spark Week today. Lots of BBQ dads in the group!!! And one real life grandma! Tomorrow is culture’s career dress up. I hear tell there might be a princess or two!
