Calling all artists, Marvel fans, and aspiring illustrators!

Join Jerry DeCaire, a professional Marvel Entertainment illustrator, for a hands-on drawing experience for teens and adults.

Jerry will be at Tecumseh Library on Saturday, August 29th to teach participants how to draw some of Marvel’s most iconic characters while sharing his experience as a professional comic book artist.

Whether you’re an experienced artist or just love to draw, come learn from a real Marvel illustrator and bring your favorite characters to life!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Summer Reading 2026! As a community, nearly 300 kids and teens and more than 150 adults read a combined 400,000+ minutes -- nearly *7,000* hours of reading during June and July!

We've identified what we believe to be a fraudulent listing on the American Heart Association website for a company claiming to offer CPR classes at the Tecumseh District Library.

We do not believe this company exists or that any CPR classes are actually being held at the library.

Unfortunately, at least one person has reported having money taken. We've filed a report with the Tecumseh Police Department and have requested that the American Heart Association remove the listing.

If you ever have questions about library programs or events being held at the library, please don't hesitate to call us. Our library programs are always free, and we do not allow outside organizations to charge admission for events hosted at the library. If someone asks you to send money to attend an event at the library, please contact us before making any payment.

Join us this Thursday, August 6th at 6:30 as we welcome Aram Mrjoian to discuss his new novel, "Waterline", which was selected as a 2026 Michigan Notable Book.

Named one of Esquire magazine's Best Books of 2025, this deeply moving debut follows a close-knit Armenian American family in Metro Detroit grappling with the aftermath of losing one of their own.

Every year, the Library of Michigan selects twenty notable books, either written by a Michigan author or about Michigan or the Great Lakes. Mrjoian's appearance is part of the Michigan Notable Book Tour, and is funded by the Library of Michigan .

Fine Print Bookshop will be on hand to sell copies of "Waterline".
