Welcome to Red Mesa High School
Red Mesa High School is located in Red Mesa, Arizona, which is about 25 miles southwest of the Four Corners. The school is located on the Navajo Reservation and is a public school. We have nearly 100% Navajo students are coming from low-income families. The students are bussed in everyday from as far as 60 miles away. We have approximately 196 students, ranging fro
m freshman to seniors. The high school staff consists of the principal, dean of students, one counselor, one behavior modification technician, 6 classified staff, and 15 teachers. The majority of the people living in the area are Navajo Indians. There are not many employment opportunities in Red Mesa, which is a community that consists of one school (Pre-K through 12th grade), a convenience store, a Navajo Nation Chapter House, and a sublet office of the Navajo Tribal Utility Company. Just recently, and Indian Health Service Clinic was opened here.
