Today is the American Legion Auxiliary’s birthday! 🎉

Since our founding in 1919, our mission has never wavered: We are a community of volunteers serving veterans, military, and their families. 🌟 For over a century, we’ve stood beside and supported those who have worn the uniform — advocating for their rights, honoring their sacrifices, and assisting military families. Our promise made in 1919 remains steadfast today and always. 🇺🇸

Happy birthday, American Legion Auxiliary! 🎂

This may be the last time you get to see it. Won’t you make plans to attend ?? Welcome Home …. ❤️🇺🇸

In Loving Memory of Lynn Crandall Eckert 1953 – 2025

With deep love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Lynn Crandall Eckert, who was born on December 29, 1953, in Torrance, California. Lynn proudly served her country in the United States Marine Corps from 1974 to 1979, earning the rank of Sergeant before being honorably discharged. After her military service, she dedicated over 30 years of her life to helping others as a substance abuse counselor, working especially with fellow veterans. Her compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication touched countless lives. On March 24, 2007, Lynn married the love of her life, David Eckert. Together, they shared 18 wonderful years, full of love, laughter, and mutual support. Lynn was deeply committed to supporting veterans and her community. She served as Commander of American Legion Post 221 and was actively involved in several other organizations, including Honor Flight, Blue Star Moms, and the Tehachapi Auxiliary. Her love for her country never wavered, and she continued to serve long after her military days were over. Lynn’s vibrant spirit, sense of humor, and unique charm made her truly unforgettable. She was known for marching to the beat of her own drum, embracing life with s***k and authenticity. Above all, she will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her country, and the many friends she made along the way. Lynn is survived by her devoted husband, David Eckert; her daughter, Carley Stringer; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Natalie Stringer, and their sons, Luke and Logan; her stepdaughters, Cindy and her spouse Dawn Wilder and their sons Ian and Isaac; and Paula Eckert.
