We would like to welcome Eric McCoach as our newest officer to the borough! Officer McCoach began with us in December and is well into his training program. Officer McCoach is a longtime resident of the Indian Valley area and a graduate of the Souderton Area School District. He comes to us with experience as an officer with the SEPTA Transit Police Department.

We are also sad to announce that Officer Erica Robbins has left our department for another opportunity in an area much warmer than here. Officer Robbins was instrumental in increasing our community-related programs, such as the Giving Tree and Touch-A-Truck events. We wish Officer Robbins the best of luck with her bright future.

With this departure, we now have an opening at our department. Once approved, more information will be posted and we will begin the hiring process quickly.

Yesterday, the Telford Borough Police Department, alongside the Telford Fire Company, had the privilege of assisting Mr. and Ms. Santa Claus in delivering presents and holiday cheer to local children in need through The Giving Tree event.

We were truly humbled by the incredible response from our community. The Giving Tree went live and nearly all of the children were selected that same weekend. With minimal promotion, community members came together and selflessly supported 35 children have a brighter holiday season. Hundreds of gifts were donated, including toys, gift cards, clothing, bicycles, books, and more.

Even beyond that, additional community members reached out to donate extra gifts and wrapping supplies, which were distributed among the children. The generosity shown was nothing short of amazing.

From all of us at TBPD, thank you to our community for your kindness and support for this event.

Each holiday season, our department is also fortunate to receive cards, baked goods, meals, and donations from local residents and businesses. We are truly grateful to serve such a supportive borough.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Officer Erica Robbins for organizing our first Giving Tree event and managing all of the logistics involved. We also thank the Indian Valley Public Library for hosting the Giving Tree itself, the members of the Telford Fire Company for donating their time and trucks for the gift run, and our police personnel for assisting with deliveries and gift wrapping.

From our department to you and your families, we wish you a wonderful holiday season. Thank you again for your continued support.

For our 6th violation of the year, we have a vehicle driving around a stopped bus, but thankfully, the family noticed the vehicle and stopped walking.

Agreeing with our past commentators that the basic civil penalty is not enough in an incident like this, officers responded to their residence and learned who was driving. The elderly driver thought it was a trash truck, apparently.

Traffic citations are to be filed, and a medical retest is being recommended to PennDOT.

*Rolling Road Closure Alert*

Beginning at 9am (approximately), the Sweatshirt of Hope Recovery Walk departs from the area of the new Dollar General in Souderton. The walk heads into Telford and turns around at Penn Ave and heads back. Main Street / County Line will be closed in sections as the walk travels through. Try to avoid the area or plan for a brief delay.

Come see the 85 vendors, music, and food at the event! The event is across from Jesse's BBQ and the Dollar General.
