We honored the 2026 Distinguished Citizen of the Year Louann Oberhausen at our annual summer picnic on Monday, July 27, 2026. Please be sure to be at Schweizer Fest on Wednesday, August 5th at 7:00 pm at the Main Stage to watch as she is honored there as well.

The Tell City Historical Society is proud to announce Louann Oberhausen as the 2026 Tell City Distinguished Citizen. A lifelong Tell City resident and retired educator, Louann has devoted decades to serving local students, her church, the hospital, charitable organizations, and neighbors in need. Her kindness, positive spirit, and unwavering dedication to helping others exemplify the very best of our community. Louann will be honored during the 2026 Tell City Schweizer Fest.
