🔥 Members Supporting Members Through Operation Round Up 🔥

Southern Indiana Power members continue to make a difference right here at home through Operation Round Up!

We were proud to present a $4,500 grant to David Berger, Board President, and Glenn Goffinet, Fire Chief of Anderson Township Fire Department to help outfit their newest tanker truck.

These funds will be used to purchase:

(2) underbody toolboxes

Trash pump

Nozzle & adaptor

This equipment will help ensure their crew is ready to respond quickly and safely when our community needs them most.

Since its inception, Operation Round Up — powered by the generosity of our members — has awarded $622,008 to local organizations and emergency services across our communities.

With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Zach Taylor, who passed away after 13 years of dedicated service with the Anderson Township Fire Department. Zach’s commitment to his community went far beyond the role of firefighter — he was an integral part of the team, handling many behind-the-scenes responsibilities with an unwavering passion.

Zach was practically born into the fire service but his career officially began in January 2012, and over the years, his desire to serve grew even stronger. He became a dispatcher and reserve police officer for the Tell City Police Department, a member of Perry County Fire-Rescue, and a Correctional Sergeant with the Perry County Sheriff's Office. He was trained in Firefighter 1 & 2 and was an Emergency Medical Responder, always ready to jump into action, no matter the situation.

Zach’s deep love for serving others was evident in everything he did. Whether on the front lines or working tirelessly behind the scenes, his contributions helped keep our community safe. His impact will be felt for years to come by everyone he served and worked with.

We extend our deepest condolences to Zach’s family, friends, and colleagues. His legacy of service and his loving spirit will never be forgotten.

Please keep his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

The Anderson Township Fire Department held our annual meeting and raffle drawing recently. This raffle is our biggest fundraising campaign each year. The support and donations we receive help us keep equipment up to date and provide protective gear for our firemen. **Reminder**
The Anderson Township Fire Department Annual Business Meeting and drawing for our yearly raffle that includes a grand prize of $5,000 cash as well as other great prizes will be held tomorrow night @6:30pm at the Bristow Community Center. Tickets for the raffle are $10 each or 3 tickets for $25. Contact any ATFD firefighter for raffle tickets. We will have tickets available for sale at the door tomorrow evening. You do not have to be present to win. Again, the meeting as well as the drawing will be tomorrow - Monday, March 3rd 2025. This is your final chance to purchase tickets for this great raffle!! Thanks to everyone that donated items or cash for the Wheeler Mission (Miss Flame Community Project). Molly had a total of 401 items donated and $775.00! That will help feed so many people! Thanks again for everthing!

Congratulations to our Miss Flame, Molly Goffinet for being named First Runner-up at the Annual IVFA Convention over the weekend. Molly was one of 21 girls, that gathered from around the state at Indy, to compete for the title. Molly was also one of the top 4 essay winners. Thank you Molly for representing District 18, so well! 🔥 🚒 🔥
