It's election season again in Telluride.
The Working Community Coalition for Telluride is looking of your thoughts on the candidates for Telluride Town Council. Let the vetting begin.

The names of eight Telluride residents competing for the four town council seats up for grabs in the Nov. 7 election were released on Tuesday.

Much has been made about who the members of this coalition are. And, we have continued to say that we are locals; parents, retailers, ski instructors, architects, builders, craftsmen, attorneys, landscapers, realtors, and many more. Many of our members do not want to be targeted personally as has been done on social media quite a bit in the last few weeks to anyone speaking their mind. So, we will remain a local coalition that has seen its support continue to grow.

Because the issue of Bob Saunders' supposed dedication to affordable housing has been brought up to this group many times, we thought it would be helpful to point out that:

-During the last 8 years of Bob Saunders being on town council he has attended a total of ZERO meetings of the housing sub-committee.

-For his entire time on town council, Bob has overseen the creation of 5.6 units of housing per year when the need was in excess of 50. Additionally, he tried to obstruct the majority of those units from ever having been built.

These two reasons alone would lead any reasonable voter to conclude that Bob Saunders is not serious about affordable housing in Telluride.

We have far more dedicated candidates available to us in the fight for the affordable housing that we need in Telluride!

Please cast your vote for affordable housing!
