Mr & Ms Military Showcase

Mr & Ms Military Showcase The Mr. & Ms. Military Showcase is a veteran-led community event that recognizes leadership, service, and impact beyond the uniform. The key is to be creative.

The event is evolving into a broader media platform that connects trusted veteran voices with mission-aligned partners. Please Donate to YOUR Contestants Nonprofit Partner to help them obtain the title of Mr or Ms Military. For this phase of the pageant our Contestants will be partnered up with a Nonprofit Organization. Contestants are to promote and fundraise for their nonprofit on social media.

If a Contestant is willing to do news media interviews to get added exposure/funding for their nonprofit then that would be Outstanding. Contestants and nonprofit leaders should be working together. We celebrate U. S. Navy veteran and now, Mr. Military San Diego - Mr. Raymond Donegan Jr. He is a retired U.S. Navy veteran, Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI®), Advisory Board Member for the State of California with the National Financial Educators Council (NFEC), active member of World System Builder (WSB), and founder of RDJ Financial Literacy Services. His life reflects service, sacrifice, leadership, and a deep commitment to helping others build a stronger future.

After serving his country in the United States Navy, Raymond did not stop serving when he took off the uniform. He carried that same sense of duty into the community by dedicating himself to financial education and economic empowerment. For Raymond, service is not just something he did in the military - it is who he is.

Through RDJ Financial Literacy Services, Raymond provides free financial literacy workshops that teach people how money works in a practical, real-life way. His workshops cover budgeting, credit, debt management, savings, proper protection, retirement basics, college planning, Social Security optimization, wealth-building, and generational wealth. But his work goes beyond teaching numbers. He helps people see hope and understand that their current situation does not have to be their final destination.

Raymond is also an active member of World System Builder, a grassroots financial education movement focused on helping families understand basic money concepts through community-based workshops. WSB’s mission is connected to the “30 by 30” movement, which means educating 30 million families by 2030. Through this work, Raymond helps bring financial education to everyday people in a simple and empowering way - bringing “Wall Street to Main Street.”

What makes Raymond’s work powerful is the heart behind it. He understands that financial stress can affect a person’s health, marriage, children, confidence, and peace of mind. He teaches because he wants families to breathe again, veterans to transition with confidence, students to start life with knowledge, and communities to build legacies instead of cycles of struggle.

In San Diego, Raymond continues to build relationships with community organizations, schools, Tribal communities, veteran groups, and local leaders. Whether he is speaking to families, students, veterans, employees, or community groups, Raymond brings the same military values of honor, commitment, discipline, and service.

Raymond Donegan Jr. represents the spirit of “Mr. Military” because he continues to serve with purpose beyond his military career. His work is not just about financial literacy - it is about restoring confidence, protecting families, creating opportunity, and helping people believe that a better future is possible.

For his continued service, leadership, compassion, and commitment to the San Diego community, Raymond Donegan Jr. is a strong and deserving Mr. Military for San Diego.

Congratulations on your promotion to the rank of Mr. Military San Diego.

ABC 10 News San Diego - We showcase - Ms. Military Imperial Beach Christa Hudson, an Army Veteran and Ms. Military Imperial Beach 2026, read a poem she wrote in remembrance of her grandparents and all military members who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

They paved the roads with boots worn thin, with folded flags with letters sent home stained in courage.

They stood watch while the world slept safely, carrying burdens that most would never see.

Some came home quieter some never came home at all, yet still their names echo through every freedom we breathe today we walk for them, for the ones who sacrifice birthdays, holidays, peace, sleep, and pieces of themselves.

So future generations could keep dreaming, we walk for our military family, past, present, and remembered for the laughter in the barracks, the tears hidden behind uniforms, the battles fought long after the war ended because they paved the way with courage, stitched in every step, and now it's our turn to carry their memory forward.

So this Memorial Day we do not walk alone we walk beside the fallen, beside the survivors, beside the legacy they left behind. With every step we whisper, we remember you we honor you, and we will never let your story fade.

Christa Hudson, Ms. Military Imperial Beach 2026
