Dear ASGIE Members,
Please read the following note from Sunny and the Fair committee:

The Fair is Coming to Town !!

The Fair committee is working on the Fair plans. We do need help with volunteers to donate an hour or more to help. This year we are able to show our appreciation by awarding you “Golden Button Rewards” for your help. These buttons accumulate and can be used towards admission to future events. By asking for help of only an hour, will allow everyone to attend classes and participate. Please let Sunny Kent at [email protected] know if you can help. Thank you.

Dear ASGIE Members,
We are planning another fabulous train ride to the Fashion district in LA on Friday, March 15th. As many if you know, these are great trips and everyone always has a fun time. It will be an all-day event. Please let Judy McDonald know that you wish to go. She will let everyone know where to pick up the train, what time to be at the station and how much the tickets will cost. She needs time to make the reservations, so don’t delay!

Ladies,

We have been given to opportunity to visit the Hoffman Fabric warehouse in Mission Viejo on Monday, June 25th. Thank you to Evie Rienstra for arranging the tour. We must be there by 10:00 for the 90 minute tour. There is a minimum of 30 in order to do this and a maximum of 50. There is no charge to us. Hoffman warehouse is not just a warehouse, but is a museum with all the fabrics they have ever designed and the history of how the company started. A major point of interest will be learning how batiks are made. Evie says that they sometimes have a sale on jelly rolls and other things we need. There is no guarantee that they will offer us the opportunity to shop, but just in case, bring cash. We can form car pools to the warehouse and after the tour each group can decide on whether or where they will have lunch, and if they want to continue on to any other fabric stores in Orange County.

Donald at [email protected] if you want to go. If you need help with a ride, please let us know and we will try to help. It is important that we respond as soon as possible so that we will know if we can accept the offer. Yes, you are welcome to invite guest.

I have visited a number of fabric warehouses on tours offered by ASG National such as Sulky where we were given a tour and learned about how the products are made, designs are chosen and something about their marketing. All the tours are interesting and the day is really fun.
