In recognition of PTSD Awareness Month, roughly 13 million people in the U.S. experience PTSD each year, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Research also shows that women are more likely to develop PTSD than men, and veterans face a higher risk due to trauma exposure during service. For many, symptoms can be severe, which makes access to meaningful support especially important.
