Tempe has always enjoyed high quality of life, which helps drive property values and provides opportunities for the everyone who calls the City home. A YES vote on all questions will provide a much-needed revenue boost of $20 million for the City’s public safety departments. This revenue will allow Tempe to upgrade its 911 communications systems, which are vital in speeding response times, and all
ow the Fire Department and the Police Department to improve technology, to make sure our first responders are as prepared as possible should citizens need help. This revenue will also go toward making sure Tempe’s public safety workers have the facilities and equipment necessary to do everything from fight crime to respond to car crashes, heart attacks and structure fires. Other bond questions in this special election will improve city streets, parks and recreation facilities, vital infrastructure and the water and sewer system. While Tempe has “done more with less” in years past, to allow the City to slip is to sacrifice home values and a significant piece of what makes Tempe special.
