March 14th at 0900 ... meet us at Camelback Mountain!

March 14th at Camelback Mountain ... be there and help us remember our fallen brother Kyle Brayer.

Kyle loved the outdoors and adventure, and he loved to hike with friends. Join us on March 14th to honor Kyle as we climb Camelback Mountain. Firefighters will wear their uniforms.

The fun starts at 9 am. We can't wait to see you!

Awesome! Way to go C.A.S.A. Lounge and Shady Park Tempe.

We can't say thank you enough to our friends at Shady Park Tempe and CASA Sunbá for their donation of more than $53,000 to our Charities. Thanks to Ryan Cornelius, the venues' creative director, and Kirk Hopkins, the general manager, for delivering the check. Police officers and fire fighters weigh in on the Tempe bond questions:

To call Tempe home is to be certain your hometown is a city like no other. Tempe residents long have stood committed to a high quality of life, safe neighborhoods and safe streets, abundant parks and opportunities for recreation, and first-class infrastructure that helps boost our city economy and our property values.

On or before Nov. 8, voters will have the opportunity to again ensure that Tempe stays special, by deciding a series of five bond questions meant to provide our city with the resources necessary to maintain and improve the Tempe we all love.

As leaders of the organizations that represent the city’s police officers and firefighters, we hope you will join our members in voting yes on these bond issues.

Tempe has always enjoyed high quality of life, which helps drive property values and provides opportunities for the everyone who calls the City home. A YES vote on all questions will provide a much-needed revenue boost of $20 million for the City’s public safety departments. This revenue will allow Tempe to upgrade its 911 communications systems, which are vital in speeding response times, and allow the Fire Department and the Police Department to improve technology, to make sure our first responders are as prepared as possible should citizens need help. This revenue will also go toward making sure Tempe’s public safety workers have the facilities and equipment necessary to do everything from fight crime to respond to car crashes, heart attacks and structure fires. Other bond questions in this special election will improve city streets, parks and recreation facilities, vital infrastructure and the water and sewer system. While Tempe has “done more with less” in years past, to allow the City to slip is to sacrifice home values and a significant piece of what makes Tempe special.

Tempe voters' Nov. 8 ballot includes a $254 million bond proposal, with the option to approve some, all or none of the portions.

A YES VOTE on Question #5, allows for the approval of funds to maintain and preserve our City buildings. Improve our City’s municipal infrastructure and facilities to increase efficiencies. Remove and replace inefficient heating and cooling systems, update flooring and roofing and improve our City’s technological infrastructure systems so that our City can grow into the 21st century in the most efficient way possible.

A YES VOTE on Question #4, allows for the approval of funds to construct and improve our City’s parks, update our recreational equipment and facilities. Including updating the lighting in our parks, maintaining our beautiful lakes, landscaping and aquatic facilities that we all enjoy year round.
