Don't forget to vote today! Imagine if you had to call 911 for a loved one—wouldn't you want the best possible service? Having an ambulance readily available has been a game-changer for our community. We're incredibly grateful for everything Survival Flight did for our county, and now, with Kirks EMS, we're continuing to receive top-notch care. Let's show our appreciation and support for the vital services they provide!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of one of our own, dispatcher Kalen Valdez. In his time with our 911 dispatch family, he brought an incredible light to our center. Always kind, respectful, and full of enthusiasm, he quickly became a cherished part of our team.

Kalen was a dedicated dispatcher with big dreams of helping others, whether through his work here or pursuing a future in law enforcement or emergency medical services. He had a natural gift for connecting with people, a positive attitude, and a warm spirit that brightened even the toughest days.

We’ll always remember his infectious smile, his heartfelt conversations, and the many moments of laughter he brought into our lives. Kalen wasn’t just a coworker; he was family.

To his family and loved ones, please know you are in our thoughts during this difficult time. Kalens impact on all of us will never be forgotten, and he will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Rest in peace, Kalen You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. 💛

** His services will be at the Hart Wyatt funeral home in Walters this sat November 30th at 10am.

A big shout out to A&J’s Elite Meats for their business in providing the briskets, Kody McDowell for loaning us his smoker, and Trent Thompson with the sheriffs department for donating his time helping us in the kitchen and hanging out with us.
