Central Counties Services

Central Counties Services Meeting Behavioral & Developmental Needs. Central Counties Services has served over 70,000 people with mental disabilities since 1967.

The Center’s services have fluctuated over time depending funding available. The changing state and federal rules that accompany the Center’s funding have also played a role in determining what services are provided for specified populations in the Center’s five-county catchment area. The activities at the Center tell a story of how the Center was started and continues to meet the complex challeng

es of the times. Much has been accomplished toward moving the Center from its early caretaker role to being a high quality sophisticated treatment agency that proudly serves the citizens in Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, and Milam counties.

Free Summer Meal Program begins June 1st

When school lets out, hunger doesn’t take a summer break.

Beginning June 1 and all summer long, we are working together with community partners throughout Central Texas to help provide meals for children ages 1-18.

Simply show up to any listed site for a prepared meal; or if you live in a rural area, look for our locations where you can get a box for each child containing a 10 day supply of meals. No ID or registration is required.

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS) is a real risk for those in the helping professions. It isn't a sign of weakness; it’s an occupational hazard.

Compassion fatigue requires professional supervision and peer support, not just self-care.

Mental health is personal.

What works for one person may not work for another, and that’s okay. The path may look different for everyone, but we all deserve 💚
