🤠🎶 Get ready to sing, clap, and celebrate all things Texas!

Join us tomorrow at Temple Public Library for a fun-filled performance with award-winning storyteller Sue Young. This high-energy, bilingual program brings the Lone Star State to life through interactive storytelling, catchy songs, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Children are encouraged to join in the fun, and families of all ages are welcome. Recommended for ages 5+.

Due to an unexpected air conditioning system issue, Temple Public Library closed early today and will delay opening tomorrow until 1 PM while repairs are completed.

Please note that the Temple ISD Summer Meal Program breakfast and lunch service scheduled at the library tomorrow has been canceled.

Families may visit one of the following alternate meal sites:

• Thornton Elementary — Breakfast: 7–8 a.m. | Lunch: 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• Temple High School Gym — Breakfast: 8–9 a.m. | Lunch: 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
• Temple College Academic Center — Breakfast: 8–9 a.m. | Lunch: 12–1 p.m.
• Ralph Wilson Youth Club — Breakfast: 7–8:30 a.m. | Lunch: 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
• Raye-Allen Elementary — Breakfast: 7:30–9 a.m. | Lunch: 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• Lamar Middle School — Breakfast: 8–9 a.m. | Lunch: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• Bonham Middle School — Breakfast: 7:30–8:30 a.m. | Lunch: 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.

It’s been officially one week since the Temple Public Library’s Summer Reading Kickoff Party, and we’re still thinking about how much fun we had!

We kicked off summer with a full day of reading, activities, and community connection, and the turnout was incredible.

In just one day, we saw:
🦖 1,221 attendees join us at the library event
đź“š 28 new library cards issued
🦕 1,800 materials checked out

The Temple Public Library has reopened and resumed normal operations following yesterday’s temporary closure.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as power was restored. All library services are now available, and the Temple ISD Summer Meal Program will continue as scheduled.

We look forward to welcoming the community back to the library.

The Temple Public Library is currently closed due to a power outage affecting the facility.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as Oncor works to restore power. During this closure, the Temple Public Library will not be offering the Temple ISD Summer Meal Program.

Summer meals are back at the Temple Public Library!

From June 1 through July 31, we’re teaming up with Temple ISD to keep kids fueled and ready for summer fun. Join us on the 3rd floor in the McLane Room, Monday through Friday.

Breakfast: 8:30–9:30 AM
Lunch: 12–1 PM

All children ages 0–18 are welcome, and no Temple ISD enrollment is needed to participate. Parents are welcome to purchase plates as well.

Stop by, grab a meal, and make the library part of your summer routine!

Bring the whole family for a morning packed with hands-on fun, creativity, and discovery. Enjoy a Fossil Dig Adventure Show by Bestie Wonderland, bounce houses, tasty treats from the Dig Café, and a Community Geodes Art Project.
