Violet Prairie Grange #996 The Historic Violet Prairie Grange was Chartered in 1931. Our kitchen was built in 1932 with the main hall being completed in 1935.

The Grange meets the 1st Monday of the month at 5:30 PM and always welcome guests and new members.

📚🌾 History came to life at National History Day!

Five talented students from Marshalltown High School in Iowa presented an outstanding project on the Granger Movement and the Granger Laws, exploring how farmers organized through the National Grange to challenge railroad monopolies and advocate for fair treatment.
Their research connected an important chapter of agricultural history to issues that still impact rural America today. Through thoughtful research and engaging presentation skills, they brought the story of the Grange to life for a new generation.

We at the National Grange are incredibly proud of these young historians for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to sharing the story of rural advocacy. Congratulations on an outstanding presentation!
