Hello All,

Rep. Kean Jr (NJ 7th) has apparently been releasing statements into the Congressional record, despite not actually attending any meetings. Pictures of him have apparently been reused many times, and we've yet to receive confirmation about what is happening and when he will return to work. As it stands, NJ's 7th has essentially been without representation for the better part of this year. We legitimately hope he is well and that he recovers from whatever ailment troubled him, but it's time he resigns so that a fit candidate can represent the people of NJ's 7th. Might we suggest you support Lana Leguía for Congress?

Hello All,

After all of the drama, fighting and the money wasted on the FIFA World Cup starting June 13th it seems that the mass transit ticket sales are not looking good. 40,000 individuals are expected to be coming for the game, and it was argued that a significant portion would seek passes to get to MetLife Stadium. However, only around 4,000 tickets have been sold with a little over a week left. Now it's likely the case that many more will be purchased within the next week, but at only a 10 percent adoption rate, it seems that the attendance, as well as the expected profits, were grossly miscalculated. If so, NJ will struggle to make back its considerable taxpayer investment.

Libertarians hold that you own yourself absolutely and can do with yourself whatever you want, so long as you don't use force or threat against others. Love yourself and others on your terms!

From our National Platform:

1.1 Self-Ownership
Individuals own their bodies and have rights over them that other individuals, groups, and governments may not violate. Individuals have the freedom and responsibility to decide what they knowingly and voluntarily consume, and what risks they accept to their own health, finances, safety, or life.

1.4 Personal Relationships
Sexual orientation, preference, gender, or gender identity should have no impact on the government’s treatment of individuals, such as in current marriage, child custody, adoption, immigration, or military service laws. Government does not have the authority to define, promote, license, or restrict personal relationships, regardless of the number of participants. Consenting adults should be free to choose their own s*xual practices and personal relationships. Until such time as the government stops its illegitimate practice of marriage licensing, such licenses must be granted to all consenting adults who apply.
