"From March 9th - March 14th Beto unit hosted its 2nd annual March Madness. 15 teams completed in a double elimination competition, spread out through 6 days. Half court shots, game winning shots; a loss by only 1 point ; epic comebacks; many teams having to play back to back games , with little to no break between, each fighting it out on the court to claim the title, and bragging rights. Ending everything on a high note, with a live music performance from one of Beto's own musician, good food, and a lot of laughs, everyone can go back to being friends instead of rivals, until next year, that is.

The Beto Military Veterans Peer Support Group held a recreation night with the group's auxiliary members. The night included volleyball, basketball, ping pong, board games, Pathfinder, and art therapy. Everyone enjoyed a great, fun night!

George Beto Unit held a Stop the Drugs rally today. (March 23rd, 2026) The event is one of several rallies that have taken place at facilities around the state and is a part of the agency's ongoing efforts to eliminate dangerous and illegal substances within . Thank you to everyone who made this event possible!

On February 24th, the Beto Unit had multiple graduations of several programs. The programs included Voyager, Spanish Voyager, Overcomers, Veteran's Anger Management. Congratulations and a job well done to these individuals!
