Gus Engeling Wildlife Management Area - Texas Parks and Wildlife An 11K+ acre WMA northwest of Palestine, TX that provides public hunting and public use opportunities We are located 21 miles northwest of Palestine, TX.

Gus Engeling Wildlife Management Area is owned and operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. We are a part of the Middle Trinity River Ecosystem Project located in the Post Oak Savannah ecoregion. The WMA covers 11,076 acres of diverse habitats including Catfish Creek and associated bottomland hardwoods to deep sandy post oak uplands. This page is intended for INFORMATION DISSEMINATION ONLY.
